The long-delayed update on Empuraan, the sequel to the much-celebrated Mohanlal-starrer Lucifer, is finally here. On Friday, taking to his social media handles, actor Mohanlal shared that a new update on the film will be released on Saturday, 5 PM.
Actor Prithviraj made his directorial debut with Lucifer in 2019. After the film's success, the makers declared Empuraan, the follow-up, with the same group of people, including Murali Gopi as the writer and Prithviraj as the director. The technical crew is also returning, including cinematographer Sujith Vaassudev, composer Deepak Dev, and action choreographer Stunt Silva.
Earlier this month, there were speculations that the film would have a promo. Prithviraj quashed the rumours and confirmed that there wouldn't be a promo or a promo shoot. Earlier this year, it was reported that the film's first schedule would begin in Delhi by the first week of October and then shift to Ladakh. The makers shared a recce video for the film. It is intended that the film is planned to be shot across India and in foreign locations.
Further details about the upcoming project, including the cast, are yet to be revealed.
It is to be noted that Empuraan's shooting was supposed to begin in August, but an unexpected injury to Prithviraj during the filming of Vilayath Buddha forced a change in plans.
