It was known that Roshan Mathew and Darshana Rajendran are the principal cast members in Sri Lankan filmmaker Prasanna Vithanage's new film, Paradise. Produced by Anto Chittilappilly of Newton Cinema, the film is presented by Mani Ratnam's banner, Madras Talkies.
The first look poster featured an intense Darshana, as Roshan's side profile is shown by her side. Against the backdrop of hilly regions, the poster features Mahendra Perera as a cop.
A rep for Newton Cinema touts Paradise as an "edge-of-the-seat film" that traverses the thriller, investigation and romance terrain. Like Prasanna's last film, Gaadi (Children of the Sun), Paradise will premiere first at the upcoming edition of the Busan International Film Festival.
An official announcement by Madras Talkies was announced today. "Elated to have #PARADISE premiere at the #BusanInternationalFilmFestival from 4 Oct 2023 to 15 Oct 2023 and to be nominated for the top honour of Kim Jiseok Award," the post read on their social media handles.
The technical crew of Paradise includes Rajeev Ravi as the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad handling the edits. The music is composed by K. Besides direction, Prasanna Vithanage has also penned the screenplay of the film along with Anushka Senanayake.
