The 46th Kerala Film Critics Award for 2022 was announced on Monday. Actor Darshana Rajendran won the award for best actress for her role in Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Purusha Pretham.

Following the announcement, extending her gratitude, the actor took to her social media handle to pen a heartfelt note.

She wrote, "I think I always thought of awards as that shiny thing my sister and I watched on TV as kids. Even after all these years of being an actor, it always felt like that. Today it feels like an acknowledgment of all these years of my work… doing this beautiful thing, I get to call my job. For Jayabharathi and Susan Bobby. Thank you @vipindashb and @krishand_ and the incredible teams that I got to work with in Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Purusha Pretham. So so grateful that I got to be part of these beautiful films. Thank you for the morning newspaper cuttings. Thank you for celebrating this with me :)"
