In 2021, Anuraj had announced Shekara Varma Rajavu with Nivin Pauly as his sophomore film. Scripted by S Ranjith, the film will have Nivin Pauly playing the eponymous character who happens to be the descendant of a royal family. In an earlier conversation about the film, Anuraj had told us, "It's about the politics of the common man and revolves around the main character, his place in society, and his conflict with it. It's a picture of the current social scenario." Though the film was announced a couple of years back, there hasn't been any major updates about it since then.

Tovino, meanwhile, is shooting for Nadikar Thilakam directed by Lal Jr. The actor also has Anveshippin Kandethum, the 3D action-adventure film Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Dr Biju's Adrishya Jalakangal in different stages of production. After Nadikar Thilakam, he will start shooting for Identity, directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan.
