Mohanlal in talks with Lijo Jose Pellissery?

Rumour mills are abuzz that Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery are in talks for a new film. It is said that initial discussions have been done, and the makers are planning to begin production in January, next year. An official announcement is still awaited.

Mohanlal is currently shooting for the Jeethu Joseph directorial Ram. Its production got resumed recently after being shelved for almost two years. The actor has multiple other projects coming up. He has finished shooting for his directorial debut Barroz and the Netflix film Olavum Theeravum. He also has the Shaji Kailas directorial Alone and Vysakh's Monster getting ready for release. He has also confirmed starring in Lucifer's second part Empuraan and Vrushabha, a mulitingual film with Kannada director Nanda Kishore.

On the other hand, Lijo Jose Pellissery has Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam with Mammootty lined up. The film is expected to have a festival run before it hits screens.
