Dhanush's Naane Varuven teaser set for release today

It has been announced that the teaser of Dhanush's much-awaited film Naane Varuven will be out today at 6.40 PM. The makers have organised a grand teaser launch event at Chennai's Rohini theatre for the fans.

Scripted by Dhanush himself, the film is directed by Selvaraghavan, marking their collaboration 12 years after Mayakkam Enna (2011). Apart from sharing credits in the writing, the brothers are also acting together for the first time in Naane Varuven. Billed as a psychological thriller, the film reportedly has Dhanush in a dual role, one of which is said to be the antagonist. Indhuja Ravichandran, Elli AvRam, Prabhu, Yogi Babu and Shelly Kishore essay other pivotal roles.

Naane Varuven also reunites the combo of Selvaraghavan, Dhanush, and Yuvan Shankar Raja for the first time in 16 years. Kalaipuli S Thanu's V Creations is backing the film. There are speculations that it will release on September 30, thereby clashing with Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan-1 at the box-office. However, an official confirmation of the release plans are yet to be out.
