Kaapa teaser to release on this date

The first teaser of the upcoming film Kaapa will release on Sunday at 7 pm, marking Prithviraj Sukumaran's birthday. The actor-producer took to his social media handles to announce the same. The announcement poster features the photos of the lead actors--Prithviraj, Aparna Balamurali, Anna Ben and Asif Ali. His caption read, "Law above justice."

The film has its story, screenplay, and dialogues written by author GR Indugopan. The film is reportedly based on the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 2007, popularly known as the Kaapa act, which aims to provide for the effective prevention and control of certain kinds of anti-social activities in the State of Kerala. Dolwin Kuriakose, Jinu Abraham, and Dileesh Nair are producing the film under the banners of the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) Writers Union and Theatre of Dreams. Mumbai-based Yoodlee Films are also on board as the producers. The technical crew includes cinematographer Jomon T John and editor Shameer Muhammed.
