Awedacious production banner recently announced that they have 19 projects in development. On the list is a Malayalam cyber crime slasher thriller, Dhanya, directed by Leena Manimekalai, according to Variety. Starring Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead role, the film is produced by Apoorva Bakshi and Monisha Thyagarajan, who earlier collaborated for Delhi Crime.

Speaking to Variety, Leena said, “Watching season one of  Delhi Crime years ago, I felt super jealous of the sheer brilliance and authenticity of the work. The name Apoorva Bakshi has had a special place in my heart since then. It must be the plan of the cosmos that brought Apoorva and Monisha as an irresistible force in my life. Our bond is nurtured by the power of sisterhood. ‘Dhanya’ will be our first brainchild and I can’t wait to experience the alchemy of our collaboration."

Meanwhile, the report also noted that Priyanka Chopra Jonas's Purple Pebble Pictures is presenting Srishti Bakshi’s documentary Women of my Billion and Anurag Kashyap making an untitled crime series for a streaming platform. On the other hand, Canadian filmmaker  Richie Mehta is filming a documentary on illegal mining.
