The makers of Ntikkakkakkoru Premondaarnn, starring Bhavana, have established an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC ) on its sets.

The film marks the comeback of Bhavana who had kept away from the Malayalam film industry for five years after she was abducted and sexually assaulted in 2017.

Written and directed by debutant Adhil Maimoonath Asharaf, Ntikkakkakkoru Premondaarnn also features actor Sharaf U Dheen. The film went on floors on Monday in Kodungalloor.

Produced by Renish Abdulkadhader, the Bonhomie Entertainments banner has set up three teams under the ICC which will address concerns like workplace harassment, and general complaints and take suggestions.

In March 2022, the Kerala High court ordered the film production houses in the Malayalam industry to set up an ICC as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) PoSH Act, 2013.  The order was passed in response to a PIL filed by Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) in 2018, demanding the same.

It may be noted that Bhavana’s last appearance in the Malayalam film was in Adam Joan (2017). After the assault incident, the actor predominantly worked in Kannada films such as Taragu, 99, and Govinda Govinda. Apart from Ntikkakkakkoru Premondaarnn, Bhavana will play a boxer in an upcoming Malayalam short film titled Survivor

Meanwhile, two other upcoming Malayalam films, 1744 WA (White Alto) and B 32 to 44 have also established an ICC on the sets.
