Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen's 19(1)(a) trailer, release date out

The trailer of upcoming Malayalam film 19(1)(a), starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen in the lead roles, was released by the makers on social media on Friday.

The film will be skipping a theatrical release and premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 29.

The two-minute trailer features Nithya as someone who runs a photocopy shop, and given with a bunch of pages by Vijay Sethupathi, who is supposedly appears as a writer. The film seems to lay prominence in writing and thoughts. The title refers to Article 19 (1) of the Constitution of India, which provides the fundamental rights in the nature of freedom, including freedom of speech and expression.

19(1)(a) is written and directed by Indhu VS. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya, the film also Indrajith Sukumaran, Indrans, among others.

Backed by Anto Joseph and Neeta Pinto, the film’s music is composed by Govind Vasantha and shot by cinematographer Manesh Madhavan.

It is to be noted that the upcoming film is sophomore film for Vijay Sethupathi in Malayalam after Maarconi Mathaai in 2019.
