Fahadh Faasil's Malayankunju confirmed as theatre release

Recently, there were speculations about the Fahadh Faasil-starrer Malayankunju skipping theatres and opting for a direct digital release on Amazon Prime Video. However, the makers have dismissed such reports by announcing that the film will hit screens on July 22. The film has been censored with a clean U certificate.

Malayankunju, billed as a survival thriller, is the directorial debut of Sajimon Prabhakar. It is scripted by Mahesh Narayanan, who has directed Fahadh in Take Off, Malik and CU Soon. He is also making his debut as a cineamtographer with this film. AR Rahman is making his comeback to Malayalam after nearly three decades by scoring music for this film.

Fahadh Faasil's last Malayalam film to get a theatre release was Trance in February, 2020.
