Rishab Shetty reaches UN Geneva for Kantara screening 

It is indeed a great period for South Indian cinema, which has been garnering attention across the globe. Before the celebrations of RRR's Oscar win for Naatu Naatu could subside, we have Rishab Shetty's Kantara making news offshores. The Kannada film, which had a successful run in multiple languages worldwide is all set to be screened at the United Nations, Geneva, on March 17, at Pathe Balexert at Hall no 13. 

Writer, director and actor Rishab Shetty has already reached Geneva and has completed the oral submission.

It has been mentioned in the social media handle of Centre For Global Affairs and Public Police that Rishab Shetty will speak about the role of Indian Cinema's role in fostering discussions on environment, climate, and conservation at the UNHRC Session at Genera, CGAPP Director Anindya Sengupta met him on the sidelines of the session.

Post-screening, Rishab will be addressed the gathering in Kannada, and later will be taking part in a private dinner along with the UN Dignitaries.

It may be noted that CGAPP also mentioned how Kantara greatly inspires people to be aware of environmental challenges and positively respond to challenges of conserving local ecologies by appealing to their emotions.

Kantara, produced by Hombale Films, covers the man-nature conflicts  and is mounted on a folklore-rooted story. The film also stars Kishore, Sapthami Gowda, Achyuth Kumar. It has music by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by Aravind Kashyap.
