Kantara is one such film that left a huge impact: Kichcha Sudeepa pens in a note

Actor Kichcha Sudeepa penned an appreciation note for the recently released Kannada film Kantara. The film, which released in theatres on September 30, is written, directed by Rishabh Shetty, who also starred in the film.

Sudeepa wrote in his note, "We do witness films that are good and fantastic. But rarely do we come across one that leaves us speechless. Kantara is one such film which left a huge impact. A simple plot, exceptionally well written and fantastically conceived."

While applauding Rishabh for his exceptional performance, Sudeepa continued, "I wonder if this plot was on paper was even half as close to how it's conceived on screen. Even the climax on paper would have just been a normal ending to a story. It's the vision of the director and the work that deserves a standing applause."

The actor also congratulated the music director of the film Ajaneesh Loknath, and the production banner Hombale Films. "I did sit back to watch the film, hoping the film would live up to the opinions that were coming to me. And I should say, the film surpassed it all," Sudeepa concluded.

Kantara is an action-thriller film with a prominent presence of Bhootha Kola form of worship entwined in its story. Rishabh plays a Kambala (traditional buffalo racing sport) champion in this film that talks about the conflict between the people of the land and forest authorities and the powerful oppressors.

The cast of the film includes Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, and Sapthami Gowda. The cinematography for the film is handled by Arvind S Kashyap.
