Sriimurali to star in debutant director Halesh Kogundi’s next

Sriimurali is currently completely focused on his upcoming film, Bagheera, which is directed by Dr. Suri. Meanwhile, Sriimurali has simultaneously given the green signal to his next project, which will be directed by first-time filmmaker Halesh Kogundi.

Halesh, an engineering graduate, worked in various film departments, before finally realising his directorial dreams after 7-8 years. “I have got the biggest break with my first film. He loved my thought process about the subject, which will be an action suspense entertainer. The film will go on floors only after Sriimurali completes his commitment for Bagheera,” says Halesh, who has directed short films and two music videos (Aadide Aata with Loose Mada Yogi, and Savasa with Shruthi Prakash).

Backed by Brand Corporate Production Private Ltd, the film is at the scripting stage, and the makers have roped in Chethan D’Souza for the stunt choreography. The other cast and crew will be finalised once the script work is complete.

Meanwhile, Bagheera, which is written by Prashanth Neel, is backed by Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films, and stars Sriimurali and Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead.
