'Celebrate love with Monsoon Raaga'

After striking gold with his debut film, Pushpaka Vimana (2017), starring Ramesh Aravind and Rachita Ram, director Ravindranath S is coming back with Monsoon Raaga.

With Dhananjay in the lead, Monsoon Raaga reunites Ravindranath with Rachita. The director strongly believes that his films have the right content to attract well-known actors. “As stars, they want to do both commercial entertainers and content-oriented subjects. Working with like-minded people makes it easier,” says Ravindranath, ahead of the film’s release on September 16.

Billing Monsoon Raaga as a love story between two beautiful souls, Ravindranath credits watching films of various genres as an inspiration for his films. “Dhananjay plays a mass hero in the film, which features him as a good-hearted person working in a bar. Rachita Ram plays a sex worker in the film that will bring out the 80s and 90s era. The film also has Yasha Shivakumar, Achyuth Kumar, and Suhasini playing pivotal roles,” says Ravindranath.

Delving deeper into the film, Ravindranath shares that nature plays an important character in Monsoon Raaga. “Right from the title, we have given a lot of importance to rain and weather. Nature plays a big part in our film, and will take you to an imaginary world,” says the director.

Backed by the Vikhyath Chitra Productions banner, Monsoon Raaga has Anoop Seelin as the composer. With cinematography by SK Rao, the editing of Monsoon Raaga will be done by National Award-winner Harish Komme.
