Park Chan-Wook to co-write and co-produce War and Revolt for Netflix

Filmmaker Park Chan-Wook will co-write and co-produce the upcoming film, War and Revolt, for Netflix. 

According to the streaming platform, the film is set against the chaos of war and it takes viewers on a gripping journey through the lives of two childhood friends turned adversaries. The historical film will captivate audiences with its thrilling narrative and star-studded cast. He co-wrote with Shin Chul. The film will be directed by Kim Sang-man.

The synopsis reads, "In War and Revolt, Gang takes center stage as the enigmatic Cheon-young, a character whose remarkable martial prowess defies his humble origins as a slave. Struggling to break free from the chains of servitude, Cheon-young will be brought to life by Gang's extraordinary talent, exuding charm and delivering breathtaking action sequences that will leave audiences in awe." 

The film also features Gang Dong-won, Park Jeong-min, Cha Seung-won, Kim Shin-rock, Jin Sun-kyu, and Jung Sung-ill.
