MUBI has announced the release of Joachim Trier’s Academy Award-nominated drama The Worst Person In The World on May 13. 

The Worst Person In The World is the third film in Trier’s Oslo Trilogy, following Reprise (2006) and Oslo, 31 August (2011). Featuring Renate Reinsve with Anders Danielsen and Herbert Nordrum, the film premiered in competition at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, with Reinsve winning the award for Best Actress. It has since been nominated for the Best International Feature Film and Original Screenplay at the 94th Academy Awards, as well as being nominated for two BAFTA Awards -Film Not In The English  Language,  and Leading  Actress (Reinsve).

The Worst Person in the World is a romantic drama about the quest for love and meaning in contemporary Oslo. It revolves around Julie, a vibrant and impulsive young woman who, on the verge of turning thirty, is faced with a series of choices.
