Some of the best Korean dramas are adapted from webcomics, otherwise known as manhwa. Be it the super-hit Netflix series, The Kingdom, which is based on The Kingdom of the Gods (written by Kim Eun-hee and by drawn Yang Kyung-il), or Itaewon Class (created by Gwang Jin), these K-dramas were first successful webcomics. However, there is no official English translation that is available to these titles.

Webcomics are a huge part of Korean pop culture and the global popularity of the shows inspired by them has given the manhwa creators a push to translate their work into English.

Here is a list of K-Dramas whose manhwa version can be found on Webtoon with official English translations.

Cheese in the Trap

Cheese in the Trap is one of the most popular K-Dramas that new fans must watch. The manhwa is penned by Soonkki Hong Seol and is centred on her relationship with Yoo Jung.
