The trailer of Dimple Kapadia starrer crime-thriller series Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo was unveiled today. Created and directed by Homi Adajania, the series also features Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar, Isha Talwar, Ashish Verma, Varun Mitra, Udit Arora, Deepak Dobriyal, Monica Dogra and Naseeruddin Shah.

The trailer introduces Dimple as Savitri or Rani Ba, a matriarch who runs a drug cartel in the garb of a cooperative. Their key product is flamingo, a drug made by a special plant that is grown only in the area where the cooperative functions. It is seen that several rural women of Rajasthan are employed by Rani Ba in this business. Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar and Isha Talwar are also seen engaging in action. The villain is revealed to be Deepak Dobriyal, who reminds us of his role in the recently released Bholaa. Just that in this, he is bald. Naseeruddin Shah is also seen in the role of an antagonist.

Here's the trailer:

The official synopsis of the series reads: “Saas Bahu aur Flamingo revolves around four inimitable women, the matriarch Savitri, her daughters-in-law, Bijli and Kajal, and her daughter Shanta who live in Hastipur – a forgotten village in the north-west. Savitri runs a company named Rani Cooperative, trading in products ranging from jari-booti balms to textiles. But everything here isn’t what it seems. Turns out, this cottage business is just a front for the biggest drug cartel being run in South Asia.”

Produced by Maddock Films, Saas Bahu aur Flamingo will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from May 5.
