Shehzada first look teaser out: Kartik Aaryan turns massy action hero
Directed by Rohit Dhawan, the film is the official Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo
On the occasion of Kartik Aaryan's birthday, the makers of Shehzada dropped a first-look teaser of the film.
Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Shehzada is the official Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020), starring Allu Arjun. Besides Kartik, the remake also features Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar.
The teaser introduces Kartik's character, Bantu, as he rides a horse into a palatial mansion. "When it comes to family, it's action over discussion," he says (we missed you too, Rohit Dhawan). We then get scene after scene of Bantu roughing up thugs, from a waterfront to a playground to a large railway shed. The massiest moment has Bantu flicking a cigarette after kicking a baddie on the floor. He also recreates Allu Arjun's famous bandana-and-shades look. Towards the end of the teaser, Kriti Sanon struts up in a succession of sultry outfits, making Bantu go 'wow!'
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo follows a man who returns to claim his place after learning of his true parentage. The film, written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, was a major hit.
Shehzada producer Bhushan Kumar said, "Kartik is such a brilliant and nuanced actor and what better way to celebrate our very own Shehzada than this! The first look is a treat for his fans.”
