Mahima Chaudhary is battling breast cancer; watch video shared by Anupam Kher

Mahima Chaudhary is battling breast cancer and undergoing treatment for the same, the actor has revealed in a video shared by Anupam Kher. 

In the video, Mahima recalls how Anupam called him up for a film and she had to tell him about her present condition. The actor shared that she has been getting calls for films and web shows but couldn't take them up because of treatment-induced hair loss. 

Anupam wrote on social media that Mahima wanted to share her diagnosis through him. In the video posted on Instagram, the actor breaks down as Anupam calls her the 'most courageous person'. 

Mahima adds that she didn't have any cancer-related symptoms. However, during a yearly sonography she was recommended to visit an oncologist. Later, she was discovered to have early stage breast cancer following a biopsy. The actor gets emotional talking about her diagnosis and not disclosing it to her parents. 

Sharing the video, Anupam wrote, "Story of Mahima chaudhary‘s courage and cancer: I called Mahima Chaudhry a month back from the US to play a very important role in my 525th film The Signature. Our conversation turned to her discovering that she has breast cancer. What followed is in this candid conversation between us. Her attitude will give hope to so many women all over the world.
