Comicstaan 3 trailer: Zakir Khan, Kenny Sebastian among judges; Rohan Joshi roasts Abish Mathew

The trailer of season 3 of Comicstaan dropped in today. This time, Zakir Khan, Sumukhi Suresh, Neeti Palta and Kenny Sebastian will turn judges on the eight-episode comedy show. It will be hosted by Abish Mathew and Kusha Kapila.

As per the show’s format, eight contestants, chosen from across the nation, will get trained in different genres of comedy by seven mentors --  Rahul Subramanian, Sapan Verma, Rohan Joshi, Prashasti Singh, Kannan Gill, Aadar Malik and Anu Menon — each week.

The trailer shows contestants trying to tickle the funny bone by telling real life incidents, poking fun at the judges and doing crowdwork. At various points mentors too take to the stage to present a funny act. Rohan Joshi is seen roasting Abish Mathew as hilarity ensues. The judges express their amusement with claps, laughter and standing ovations.

Talking about returning to Comicstaan, Zakir Khan in a statement said, “There is certain rawness in each of the eight contestants we have this time. I am really impressed with their growth during the course of this season, as they tested themselves on various genres of comedy.”

Kenny Sebastian talked about the quality of material this year and said, “It’s a place for comedians to get a massive leg up in the business. The best part is that the quality of writing and performance has gone a notch higher in the third season. I thoroughly enjoyed judging their performances, and I cannot wait for the audiences to enjoy it too.”

Comicstaan 3 will stream on Amazon Prime Video from July 15.
