The trailer for the Mumbai chapter of Modern Love was released on Thursday. The show will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 13.

The anthology will feature stories by Vishal Bhardwaj, Hansal Mehta, Shonali Bose, Dhruv Sehgal, Alankrita Shrivastava and Nupur Asthana. The featurettes, six in total, centre on "discovering and exploring love in all its shades and emotions."

The trailer starts with a voiceover describing how Mumbai's energy never ceases as visuals of the city are shown. The video then jumps between glimpses from different episodes in the anthology. We see Chitangda Singh and Arshad Warsi as a couple with problems; Fatima Sana Shaikh as a hijab-wearing Muslim woman in a relationship with a security guard; Pratik Gandhi trying to come out of the closet; Meiyang Chang trying to get his partner accepted by his family and Masaba Gupta exploring a new relationship.

Inspired by a New York Times column, the first two seasons of the US-based series were released in 2019 and 2021. A Japanese chapter, titled Modern Love Tokyo, is also slated for this year.
