Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 teaser out: Kartik Aaryan has a ghost to bust, a sequel to ace

Fifteen years after Akshay Kumar expelled the imagined horrors of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, something freshly wicked comes this way. On Thursday, the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 released the official teaser of the film.

Nostalgia soars as the camera glides through a darkened old mansion, over a familiar song. A lock is broken, and we see a spirit rise—thereby confirming the supernatural make of this sequel. Finally, over those playful strings, Kartik Aryan steps in, dressed in a healer's garb and looking all primed to replace Akshay. Oh, and he's got Rajpal Yadav around him, so series fans can relax. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 might just click.

Director Anees Bazmee had confirmed that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a ghost story, not a psychological thriller. In the film, Kartik will encounter Kiara Advani and Tabu in primary roles, along with Sanjay Mishra. Rajpal so far is the only confirmed cast member from the previous film.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is produced by T-Series and Cine 1 Studios. It is scheduled to release in theatres on May 20.
