Shiddat Trailer

Maddock Films has released the trailer of Shiddat. The romantic drama stars Sunny Kaushal and Radhika Madan as a young couple in love. After she resuscitates him by the pool ('here we call it a kiss'), Jaggi and Kartika have a flaming affair, though she's set to marry someone else. Jaggi's journey to win her back, which spans several countries, is set against the story of another couple, played by Mohit Raina and Diana Penty.

Themes of passion, marriage and going the distance emerge in the 2-minute plus trailer. It's all quite loud and lustrous, in the key of the big, brash love stories Bollywood used to make. The throbbing soundtrack, appropriately, is by Sachin-Jigar, in collaboration with Manan Bhardwaj and Gourov Dasgupta.

"As a genre, love stories are timeless," producer Dinesh Vijan said. "An emotion each and every one of us has felt, the agony, the ecstasy, the whole grandeur of romance is what we have tried to capture in Shiddat.”

Shiddat is directed by Kunal Deshmukh. The film premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on October 1
