Emraan Hashmi in Dybbuk

As reported by us recently, the hit Malayalam film Ezra is getting remade in Hindi as Dybbuk. Emraan Hashmi plays the lead role in the film, which is set to premiere in Amazon Prime Video on October 29. Its trailer has been released.

Emraan Hashmi and Nikita Dutta play a married couple, who are on a vacation. The conflict begins when Nikita's character Mahi brings home an antique Jewish box. The couple begins to have paranormal experiences and they soon learn that the box is a dybbuk containing an evil spirit. They then seek the help of a rabbi to unravel its mystery. Will they survive this ordeal before their child is born is all the film is about.

Dybbuk is directed by Jay K, who helmed Ezra as well. The original had Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priya Anand in the lead roles.

Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak are producing Dybbuk under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios Production.
