Actor and producer Pallavi Joshi recently said that OTT platforms will never diminish the relevance of theatres and that the experience of watching a film on the big screen is unparallelled.
During a recent panel discussion on NDTV Marathi, Pallavi was asked whether the reduced attention span of audiences in the digital era could lead to the decline of theatres in the future. She said, "The ocean is never afraid of how many rivers are going to meet it. Likewise, Indian cinema will never be downsized by OTT or 30-second Instagram reels.”
“The experience we get from watching a film in theatres is something we’ll never get on a phone. We should concentrate on bigger and greater stories to pull audiences back into theatres,” she added.
On the work front, Pallavi will be next seen in her husband Vivek Agnihotri’s The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter.
