
Akshay Kumar’s recent rescue-thriller Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, in accordance with Cinema week, will be shown in theatres at Rs 112 a ticket.
The film’s production house, Pooja Entertainment, made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “And our surprises for you continue at just ₹112/-* Book your tickets now and watch the story of Bharat’s true hero with #MissionRaniganj IN CINEMAS NOW.”
Recently, it was also announced that the makers have submitted the film independently for the Oscars.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, Mission Raniganj stars Akshay Kumar in the role of Jaswant Singh Gill, who, in 1989, saved the lives of 65 miners stuck in Mahabir colliery in West Bengal's Raniganj. Gill devised a special steel capsule using which the miners were rescued. He was awarded the Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak for his bravery by the then President of India, Ramaswamy Venkataraman, in 1991.
Apart from Akshay, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Dibyendu Bhattacharya Mukesh Bhatt, Akshay Verma, Ishtiyak Khan, Dinesh Lamba and Virendra Saxena.
It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor. It was released in theatres on October 6.
