Akshay Kumar starrer rescue thriller Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue is straining at the box office. As per industry trade tracker Sacnilk, the film had a dismal opening of Rs 2.8 crore on Friday, which jumped impressively to Rs 4.7 crore on Saturday. The two-day collection of the Tinu Suresh Desai directorial currently stands at Rs 7.5 crore.
However, Mission Raniganj saw only an average of 15.73 percent occupancy in the Hindi market. While night shows had around 24.73 percent audience, evening, afternoon, and morning shows saw 15.8, 13.5, and 10.13 percent occupancy, respectively.
The film was released along Thank You For Coming, which is also struggling at the box office, having earned almost Rs 2.4 crore in two days.
Akshay was last seen in OMG 2, which fared well at the box office and raked in Rs 150 crore.
