Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela completed ten years since its release on Wednesday. The film’s production house posted a video on Instagram, laden with nostalgia and the echoes of a decade-long journey. "To a decade of sizzling chemistry, fiery passion, and breathtaking characters. Celebrating the war of love between the Rajadi's and the Sanera's with #10YearsOfRamLeela,” they captioned the post.
The film’s lead actor Ranveer Singh too took to Instagram to shares some behind-the-scenes photos from the film. The pictures feature Deepika Padukone, whose romance with Ranveer bloomed on the sets of the film. “10 years of RamLeela - the one that changed our lives forever … in more ways than one!” he captioned the post.
Apart from Ranveer and Deepika, Ram-Leela also starred Gulshan Devaiah and Richa Chadha in pivotal roles. Gulshan shared a photo of his character ‘Bhavani’ from the film on social media and spoke about how it was the first time during a film’s release he had to deal with a controversy. The film’s initial name ‘Ramleela’ was objected to by various religious groups. “I never imagined I’d ever be in an SLB movie. The scale, the sets, the costumes, the staging, the amount of time to actually make this movie.. Phew !! It was also the first time I had to experience how to deal with controversy during the release. “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela” by the great Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali #10YearsOfRamLeela,” Gulshan wrote in the caption.
Richa Chadha also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the film by sharing a scene from it on Instagram. “Happy 10 years of Ram Leela to all ! Gave us the best Jodi in Bollywood and gave me the opportunity to work with the great SLB as the Raseela Bhabhi! Please watch us reunite in Heera Mandi for some legit magic,” she captioned the post.
Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela released on November 15 in 2013. It earned over Rs 200 crore at the box office.
