Karan Johar introduces the families of Rocky and Rani

After unveiling the looks of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in his upcoming family drama-comedy Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, Karan Johar took to Instagram on Thursday to introduce us to the families of Rocky and Rani.

Ranveer Singh’s family, ‘The Randhawas’ include Dharmendra, who is seen on a wheelchair and Jaya Bachchan, wearing a stern look. The family also consists of actor Kshitee Jog. Alia Bhatt comes from the clan of ‘The Chatterjees’. Bengali actors Tota Roy Chowdhury and Churni Ganguly are part of her family. Shabana Azmi is also one of the Chatterjees.

Sharing the new posters on his Instagram, Karan wrote, “Meet the Randhawas & the Chatterjees - the two families of this 'kahaani'! The power of family will decide the fate of love. Come, be a part of it all & more with #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani, in cinemas 28th July, 2023.”

Earlier today Karan shared the looks of Ranveer and Alia from the film. In the posters Ranveer can be seen in his goofy self while Alia looks elegant in a sari topped with a nose ring and bindi.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani marks Karan’s return to the director’s chair after seven years. Although he directed shorts in Netflix anthologies Lust Stories and Ghost Stories, the last feature film helmed by him was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani is scheduled to be released on July 28.
