Prabhas' Adipurush trailer promises majestic retelling of Ramayana

The makers of Adipurush released the much-awaited trailer on Tuesday. Directed by Om Raut, the film has Prabhas as Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan. While the film tells the epic saga of Ramayana, the recently released trailer offers a glimpse of some pivotal plot points like Sita crossing the Lakshman Rekha, Jatayu coming for the rescue, Ram's meeting with Sabari, Hanuman meeting Sita in Lanka and how Ram with Lakshman and Hanuman, to go Lanka to rescue Sita from Raavan's custody.

It may be noted that the team has upscaled their trailer after they received heavy criticism for the underwhelming VFX in the first glimpse.

Though originally a Hindi language film, Adipurush will be released in all major South Indian languages as well on June 16. Adipurush is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series with Om Raut's home production Retrophiles. While Karthik Palani is the cinematographer, the edit is done by Apurva Motiwale, Sahai and Ashish Mhatre.
