Karan Johar lauds Rana Naidu

Rana Daggubati-Venkatesh Daggubati, starring action-crime -drama series Rana Naidu, was recently released on Netflix. The series has been headlining since its release, hinting at a wide reception among viewers. Lately, director Karan Johar who caught the series has showered appreciation through his Instagram story. 

Taking to Instagram, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai helmer wrote, "Congratulation, what a whopper of a show, absolutely thrilling and fantastic to watch. Venkatesh Daggubati, sir, you have totally killed it and set the screen on fire. Rana Daggubati was fantastic, as always and owned every scene. I can't wait for everyone to watch this spectacular show."

Rana Naidu is an official adaptation of the American series Ray Donovan. Directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma, Rana Naidu is produced by Aaron Sunder of Locomotive Global Inc. 

Rana Daggubati plays the titular character Rana Naidu. The series revolves around his life, and he is known as the 'fixer of the stars,' as he makes a living by fixing the messes left behind by his famous clients. 

Apart from Rana and Venkatesh, the series also stars Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Suchitra Pillai, Gaurav Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi and Rajesh Jais in pivotal roles. 

Meanwhile, Karan Johar has been shooting Ranveer Singh and Aaliya Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film will be out on screen on July 28.
