Nawazuddin Siddiqui reacts to ex-wife Aaliya’s accusations: It’s her routine, she only wants money

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui finally broke his silence on the controversy surrounding him and his estranged wife Aaliya.

Recently, Aaliya filed a complaint against Nawazuddin, accusing him of rape. She had also posted a video on Instagram, claiming that she and their children Shora and Yaani are not being allowed to enter the actor’s home and she has nowhere to go. She also accused Nawaz and his family of harassment.

In the past, Nawazuddin's mother, Mehrunisa Siddiqui, had filed an FIR against Aaliya over a property dispute. Mumbai’s Versova Police had also called Aaliya for questioning regarding the case. Later, Aaliya's lawyer claimed that Nawazuddin's family was allegedly torturing Aaliya and depriving her of food, bed and access to toilet. The actor’s lawyer retorted that Aaliya is still married to her former husband, and hence her marriage to Nawaz is not even valid.

Now, taking to Instagram, Nawaz posted a statement and said that Aaliya only wants money. Stating why he has been silent for long, the Raees actor said, “The reason I have kept quiet is that all this tamasha will somewhere be read by my small children.” Accusing Aaliya of abandoning their kids in Dubai for four months, the actor also revealed how much he pays his wife every month for expenses, “On an average, she is been paid approx 10 Lakhs per month for past 2 years and 5-7 lakhs per month before moving to Dubai with my children, excluding the school fees, medical, travel and other leisure activities. I have also financed her 3 films, costing me crores of rupees, just to help her set up her income stream since she is the mother of my kids. She was given luxurious cars for my kids, but she sold them and spent the money on herself. I have also bought a lavish sea-facing apartment in Versova, Mumbai, for my children. Aaliya was made the co-owner of the said apartment, as my kids are small. I have given my children a rented apartment in Dubai, where she was also living comfortably.

“She only wants more money and hence have filed numerous cases on me and my mother & it’s her routine. She has done the same in the past too, and withdraws the case when paid as per her demand,” he added.

Stating that Aaliya is doing all this just to “blackmail” him, the actor said, “She is doing all this to simply blackmail me, malign my reputation, her intent is to spoil my career and fulfil her illegitimate demands.”

As per reports, Aaliya is Nawazuddin's second wife. Aaliya alias Anjana Kishor Pandey and Nawazuddin tied the knot over a decade ago.
