Actor Anupam Kher recently announced that he will be portraying the role of Rabindranath Tagore in an upcoming film.

While details of the project are still under wraps, Kher posted a monochrome video of himself sporting a white mane with a flowy beard and wearing black overalls like the late poet and Indian renaissance writer. “Delighted to portray #Gurudev #RabindranathTagore in my 538th project. Will reveal the details in due course. ये मेरा सौभाग्य है कि मुझे गुरुदेव को पर्दे पर साकार करने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ है! जल्द ही इस फ़िल्म की अधिक जानकारी आपके साथ संझा करूँगा! Kher has been keeping busy lately. Recently, he announced that he will be playing the role of a 69-year-old man who decides to compete in a triathlon contest. The film is titled Vijay 69. The actor also has a thriller, tentatively titled The Room, in the pipeline. He will be reuniting with his Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006) actor Parvin Dabas for the film. On the cards also is Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino, for which Kher will star alongside Neena Gupta, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan.
