Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar trailer out: Ranbir and Shraddha can't call it quits

The trailer of Luv Ranjan's new romantic comedy, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, is out. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, the film toys with the follies and perplexities of modern relationships, which, as Ranbir declares in the opening seconds, 'are easy to get into but difficult to exit'.  

In the Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar trailer, Ranbir and Shraddha's characters meet on a holiday and start dating casually. After a while, Ranbir announces he has found 'true love'. Like all Luv Ranjan heroes, it's not enough for him - he wants Shraddha to love him back. She, however, is elusive in her response -  “yeh mazze le rahi hai,” Ranbir tells his best friend, played by standup star Anubhav Singh Bassi.

Even after their families meet and the couple are engaged, they find it hard to call it quits explicitly, relying instead on 'mind games'. “She wants to play, let's play,” Ranbir says finally, as they smile and embrace outside 'Farzi Cafe'.

Talking about the film, Luv Ranjan said, “Love is a complicated subject, but why not have some fun while we try and unravel relationships in today’s world. The world and vibe of the film has been brought alive by the super talented pair of Shradha and Ranbir and my brilliant crew. I am hoping for audiences across all ages, young and young at heart to have a good time in the theatres while they relate to their own romance when they watch the film.”

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar releases on March 8 in theatres.
