Shah Rukh Khan is set to make a comeback to the big screens after four years, with his upcoming film Pathaan. The film will release in theatres on January 25, and aims to capitalise the Republic Day public holiday and the following weekend.

Now, the censor certification of the film has been doing rounds on social media, revealing that Pathaan’s runtime to be two hours and 26 minutes. The Central Board of Film Certification has also suggested 12 changes in the film’s runtime.

The changes include replacement of the name "RAW" with "Hamare" from the initial first introductory dialogue mentioning Colonel Luthra and again "in reference to the mention of recreational club, Gym, Sauna, pool tables".  Other changes include replacement of the work "Scotch" to "Drink", "Black Prison Russia" to "Black Prison", along with some cuts mentioned in the Besharam Rang song. It is to be noted that Besahram Rang received backlash from certain sections of the society, criticising Deepika Padukone's costume.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Deepika plays a spy in Pathaan and has been paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The film also stars John Abraham as the antagonist.
