The work on the next instalment in The Big Bull franchise is currently underway, reveals producer Anand Pandit. In an interaction with PTI, the filmmaker also shared that there are plans to develop the fourth chapter in the Sarkar franchise.

"We are working on The Big Bull 2. We are in the process of buying rights to a book. We can't divulge much about the (next) scam," said Pandit, who is known for backing films like Baazaar, Section 375, and Chehre.

Helmed by Kookie Gulati, The Big Bull (2021), which was released on Disney+ Hotstar, was a fictional tale of a notorious stockbroker named Hemant Shah, played by Abhishek Bachchan.

When asked if the sequel would star Abhishek in the lead, Anand Pandit revealed that the script would decide the casting. "I would prefer to work with Abhishek Bachchan. He is a great actor, but we will decide the cast depending on the script."

Meanwhile, Anand Pandit, who had backed Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar 3 (2017), said they hope to take the story of megastar Amitabh Bachchan's Subhash Nagre forward. "We are seriously thinking and working on two-three franchise projects. We are hopeful we can make something like Sarkar 4."

Apart from these films, Anand Pandit is also working on a remake of Vishal Bhardwaj's acclaimed crime drama, Omkara, a sequel of the romantic comedy, Desi Boyz, and Randeep Hooda's Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, a biopic of VD Savarkar.
