We had earlier reported that SS Rajamouli's 2005 blockbuster film Chatrapathi's Hindi remake began production in 2021. Now the makers have announced that the film shooting of the film has been wrapped.

The film, produced by Dr Jayantilal Gada under Pen Studios, marks the big Bollywood debut of Sreenivas Bellamkonda and was launched by SS Rajamouli in Hyderabad. The makers are yet to reveal the identity of the female lead.

Starring Prabhas, the Telugu action-drama Chatrapathi was filled with emotion and took audiences through the exploitation faced by immigrants who come to India from places far away and live without any official identity.

The Hindi remake, directed by VV Vinayak, has been mounted on a massive scale and shot extensively on grand sets in Hyderabad.

Chatrapathi was earlier remade in Bengali as Refugee (2006) and in Kannada with the same name in 2013
