Ranveer Singh's Cirkus to stream on Netflix from this date

Cirkus, the Ranveer Singh-starrer comedy entertainer, which hit the theatres in December 2022, will stream on Netflix from Friday.

Billed as a comedy entertainer, Cirkus is directed by Rohit Shetty. It is set in the backdrop of a circus in Ooty. It is an official adaptation of the 1982 film Angoor which was based on Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors. The film has Ranveer playing the role of a Circus artist and has a condition of generating current. While Ranveer and Varun Sharma essay double roles, the film also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Mukesh Tiwari, among others.

An excerpt from Cinema Express review reads, "Cirkus unfolds, like all Shetty comedies, in a glob of obviousness. The elementary writing and playschool set design convinced me I was stuck inside a nursery rhyme. Rohit, to his credit, adds a few novel touches to his version. Cirkus—which was shot on sets during the pandemic—is a visual and aural bore."
