The motion poster of Sunny Deol's Gadar 2: The Katha Continues was released today by the makers. The film is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The motion poster has the song Udja Kale Kawan playing in the background, with Sunny's character Tara Singh and Ameesha Patel's Sakeena looking at each other.

Zee Studio wrote on Twitter, "The eternal love story of Tara Singh and Sakina, which lit up the big screens 22 years ago, is all set to bring back its magic on the silver screen! #Gadar2 on 11th August 2023."

Gadar 2 is directed by Anil Sharma who also helmed the prequel. Gadar was loosely based on the tragic love story between British Indian Army World War II veteran Boota Singh and a young Muslim woman named Zainab against the backdrop of the Partition.

Though plot details of the sequel are currently unavailable, according to reports, the sequel will continue the love story of Tara Singh (Sunny) and Sakeena (Ameesha Patel). The sequel will also feature Anil Sharma's son, Utkarsh Sharma, who appeared in Gadar as Tara and Sakeena's child.
