Kareena Kapoor returns to Singham franchise: Reports

It is yet to be known if Kareena will be reprising her role from Singham Returns

Kareena Kapoor Khan will be returning to Rohit Shetty’s Singham franchise, as per reports. The actor, who was part of Singham Returns (2014), will also be seen in the upcoming Singham Again alongside Ajay Devgn. It should also be noted that Deepika Padukone has also joined Singham Again and will be playing ‘Lady Singham’ in the film.

“Kareena has been roped in as the female lead. Details regarding her character are being kept under wraps. The film is expected to go on floors by the year-end, and the team is excited to have the lead pair back,” reported Mid-day quoting a source close to the project. It is yet to be known if Kareena will be reprising her role from Singham Returns.

Kareena has worked with Rohit in the past in the Golmaal series (Golmaal Returns, 2008 and Golmaal 3, 2010). The actor was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Aamir Khan. Her upcoming is Hansal Mehta’s yet-to-be-titled film where she is reportedly playing a detective, investigating a murder. Sujoy Ghosh’s The Devotion of Suspect X with Vijay Verma and Jaideep Ahlawat is also in the pipeline. She will also be seen in Rhea Kapoor’s The Crew and will be sharing screen space with Kriti Sanon and Tabu.
