I was drawn to explore the world of undercover operations in IB 71, says director Sankalp Reddy

The makers of IB 71, billed as a patriotic spy thriller, recently unveiled the teaser. According to IANS, The film's director Sankalp Reddy said,"Working on IB71 has been an absolute thrill ride for me. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the film's intriguing premise and the opportunity to explore the world of undercover operations."

He further added that with Vidyut Jammwal in the lead, he knew he had an actor who could not only pull-off high-octane action scenes but also understand the depth and nuance to bring his character to life.

Meanwhile, Vidyut also stated that the film talks about how the Indian Intelligence Bureau conducted a secret mission and outplayed the enemy which gave our armed forces the required advantage to face a two-front war. IB 71 marks Vidyut’s maiden film as a producer under his banner Action Hero Film. The film is also backed by Reliance Entertainment and T-series. It also features Anupam Kher and Vishal Jethwa in pivotal roles. The film is slated for a theatrical release on May 12.
