Nushrratt Bharuccha’s Akelli announces shoot wrap

It’s a wrap for Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer drama-thriller Akelli. The actor took to Instagram on Sunday to make the announcement. She posted a photo of herself in a pink shirt, standing behind a three-tier cake. “It’s a wrap.”

Akelli is shot in Iraq and revolves around how a person realizes her own capabilities in adverse situations like being trapped in the desert land. The film is helmed by debutant director Pranay Meshram, who has worked as an assistant director for films like Queen (2013) and Commando 3 (2019).

The film is produced by Dashami Studioz’ Nitin Vaidya, Ninad Vaidya, and Aparna Padgaonkar along with Vicky Sidana & Shashant Shah.

Speaking about the film, the producer and founder of Dashami Studioz, Nitin Vaidya earlier shared, “We are thrilled to announce Akelli starring Nushrratt Bharuccha. Her character in this film symbolizes a lone woman’s battle against all odds. The film’s subject is very different and as a storyteller, Pranay has visualized each and every bit so well that his conviction made us want to back this movie.”

The official release date of the film is still awaited.

Meanwhile, Nushrratt was recently seen in a cameo in Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. She also starred in Selfiee alongside Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi and Diana Penty. She will also be seen in an upcoming horror flick Chhorii 2 alongside Soha Ali Khan.
