Filmmaker KD Shorey, father of Ranvir Shorey, passes away at 92 

Filmmaker KD Shorey, father of actor Ranvir Shorey, passed away on Friday night. He was 92.

"My beloved father, Krishan Dev Shorey, passed away peacefully last night at the ripe old age of 92, surrounded by his children and grand children. He leaves behind wonderful memories and many admirers. I have lost my greatest source of inspiration and protection," Ranvir tweeted. 

Krishna Dev Shorey had produced films like Zinda Dil (1975), Be-Reham (1980) and Bad Aur Badnaam (1984). In 1998, he directed the film Maha-Yuddh, starring his son Lokesh Shorey, Gulshan Grover and Mukesh Khanna.
