Doctor G sees a box office rise of over 20 per cent on Day 2 of release

After a feeble start, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh starrer Doctor G showed a rise at the box office. The film opened to just Rs 3.87 crore on Friday. As per estimates, Doctor G saw a rise of 20-30 per cent on Saturday and collected approximately Rs 4.75- Rs 5.15 crore, taking the total to over Rs 8.50 crore.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the film will be targeting another 15-20 per cent jump on Sunday, and eyeing to close at just under Rs 15 crore after the weekend. The report further stated that while the jump has mostly come from multiplex chains, the film also did good business in single screens.

Doctor G also stars Shefali Shah and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and written by Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, Vishal Wagh and Anubhuti, Doctor G was released in theatres on October 14.
