'Mama' Alia Bhatt shares first picture after daughter's birth

Alia and her husband Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first child, a baby girl, last week

Alia Bhatt on Tuesday shared her first picture after the birth of her daughter. Alia and her husband Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first child, a baby girl, last week. 

On Instagram, Alia posted a picture holding up a coffee mug that reads, "mama".

Alia's own mom, Soni Razdan, dropped a loving comment under the post, as did Tiger Shroff, Manish Malhotra, Zoya Akhtar and others. 

Last week, Alia and Ranbir jointly released a statement following their daughter's birth. 

They wrote, "And in the best news of our lives :- Our baby is here.. and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love- blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir.”

Alia and Ranbir were married on April 14 this year in Mumbai. The two had started dating on the sets of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra

On the work front, Alia, who was last seen in Darlings and Brahmastra, awaits a slew of new films, including Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Jee Le Zaraa and her Hollywood debut film Heart of Stone.

The release date of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani was recently announced as April 28, 2023. Directed by Karan Johar, the film reunites Alia with her Gully Boy co-star Ranveer Singh.
