Ayushmann Khurrana’s first look from An Action Hero dropped today. The film is directed by Anirudh Iyer and produced by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Production and Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series. It also stars Jaideep Ahlawat.

The film’s trailer will drop on November 11 and it is scheduled for a December 2 release.

The poster shows Ayushmann wearing a tweed jacket, gun in hand and looking intense. His face and forehead bear scars. Cop cars with blaring sirens are also seen behind. Sharing the poster on his Instagram account, the actor wrote, “Phata poster aur nikla ACTION HERO! Ladne ki acting toh kar li, kya asliyat mein lad paaunga? (The poster tears and an action hero emerges. I did play-fighting but can I fight for real?)

An Action Hero tells the story of an actor who's forced to become a real-life action hero. Jaideep portrays the villain in the film.

Earlier, talking about the film producer Aanand L Rai had said, “Colour yellow is always excited to bring newer stories newer world for its audience. Happy to have two of my favourite actors Ayushman and Jaideep in this thrilling journey of An Action Hero".

Producer Bhushan Kumar added, “The entire An Action Hero team has put in a lot of hard work into making this happen. We have achieved quite a lot in such a short span of time and we are waiting to watch the final product on screen just as much as everyone else! See you in cinemas on December 2!”

Director Anirudh said, “Bringing alive our vision for An Action Hero with Ayushmann and Jaideep has been a blast. Both are brilliant performers and our schedules so far have been quite productive. I am happy with the outcome so far and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store!”

Ayushmann was last seen in Doctor G.
