Vivek Agnihotri on Friday announced a new collaboration with Pushpa: The Rise director Sukumar.

Vivek, Sukumar and producer Abhishek Agarwal (The Kashmir Files, Karthikeya 2) will be teaming on a soon-to-be revealed project.

"Uniting India with cinema. Details soon. Guess? Sukumar (Director, Pushpa) + Abhishek Agrawal (Producer, The Kashmir Files) + Yours Truly (The Kashmir Files)," Vivek tweeted, sharing pictures of their triad.

Sukumar has directed films like Arya, Arya 2, 1: Nenokkadine, Nannaku Prematho and Rangasthalam in Telugu. His Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 starring Allu Arjun was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021. A sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, also directed by Sukumar, is currently in the works.

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri directed The Kashmir Files earlier this year. The film, based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in the early 1990s, was a blockbuster, earning around Rs. 340 crore at the global box-office. His next film is The Delhi Files. The film is reportedly backdropped on the anti-Sikh riots in 1984. It will round out his 'Files' trilogy preceded by The Kashmir Files  and The Tashkent Files.

Some months ago, Vivek announced more collaborations with Abhishek Agarwal, centred on stories 'rooted in Bharat and that contribute to Indic Renaissance.'
