Sudhir Mishra after mother passes away: Officially an orphan now

The filmmaker had been tweeting about his mother’s health recently. ‘Left the Hospital to have a bath. Have just been summoned back. They say my Mother has very little time,’ he had posted on June 10

Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra posted on social media, in the earlier hours of Tuesday, informing that his mother has passed away. “My Mother passed away into the great beyond an hour ago. My Sister and I held her hand as she went. I am now officially an orphan,” Sudhir tweeted.

His friends and colleagues gave their condolences. “Please take care dear sir. Deepest condolences,” replied Ayushmann Khurrana. Amrita Rao wrote, “We are All children of God who will eventually return to where we belong ..May Your Mother find Happiness in the Higher World”. Filmmaker Onir wrote, “Sending you much love @IAmSudhirMishra. The loss of one’s parent is devastating.” Renuka Shahane, Gulshan Devaiah, Anup Soni and many others also offered their condolences.

 

Sudhir had been posting on Twitter for a while about the health of his mother, who had been in the hospital for a few days. On June 10, he tweeted, “Left the Hospital to have a bath. Have just been summoned back. They say my Mother has very little time.”

Few days before that, he had posted, “Mother critical Hospital. May she come out of it!”

On the work front, Sudhir’s new series called Tanaav was announced today. The show is the Indian adaptation of the Israeli series Fauda. Set against the backdrop of Kashmir in 2017, it tells the story of a Special Covert Ops Unit. The series will stream on SonyLIV.
